Delete Your Compatiguru Account & Data
Intro (who/what)
Compatiguru is owned and operated by Zeigangel LLC (1815 Purdy Avenue, Miami Beach, FL 33139, USA). This page lets you request account and data deletion even if you’ve uninstalled the app or lost access to your device. (In-app deletion is always available at: App → Settings → Account → Delete Account.)
Fastest option (in-app)
- Open the Compatiguru app
- Go to Settings → Account → Delete Account
- Confirm the prompts
We’ll start removal of your profile, content, and personal data not required by law. Apple requires that apps enable in-app account deletion for any app that allows account creation. Apple Developer
Request deletion from the web (no app required)
If you can’t access the app, submit the form below. We’ll verify your identity using the email on file and process the deletion.
What you’ll need
- The email you used for Compatiguru
- (Optional) Your user ID/username from the app
- A short confirmation that you want your account and personal data deleted
Response & timing: We confirm receipt within 72 hours and complete deletion within 30 days (often much sooner). Some items may persist up to 90 days in encrypted backups before they roll off, which is standard practice and permitted when disclosed. Google Help+1
What gets deleted
When your deletion completes, we remove or irreversibly de-identify:
- Profile & account data: name, email, birth date/time/time zone, profile photos, Hello Video, preferences
- Connections & interactions: matches, likes, blocks, reports you filed (subject to legal holds for safety)
- Messages & media: your messages and media you uploaded (if platform constraints require, we anonymize your handle to “[deleted]” and remove media URLs)
- Sessions & tokens: sign-in sessions, device tokens, and push notification tokens
Store purchases: Subscription records are kept by Apple/Google for billing compliance. We can’t delete those platform records, but your app account and linked personal data are deleted on our side. Apple Developer
What we may retain (and why)
We may retain limited information only when legally necessary or for safety, fraud prevention, or tax/accounting obligations (for example, transaction records). We disclose these retention reasons in our Privacy Policy and here as required by Google Play’s User Data policy. Google Help
Examples of permitted retention:
- Payments & tax records (up to 7 years, where required)
- Security logs (short-term, for fraud/abuse prevention)
- Legal holds (if we receive a lawful request or must preserve evidence)
De-identified, aggregate data we keep (non-reversible)
To improve our compatibility models and service quality, we may keep fully de-identified, aggregate statistics that cannot reasonably be linked back to you—for example: age bucket (18–24, 25–34, 35–44, 45+), Western sign, Chinese zodiac, primary BaZi element, join month (YYYY-MM), and interaction rates (e.g., like counts).
We do not keep raw PII (name, email, exact birth date/time/location) in these aggregates and we do not attempt re-identification. Google Play allows retention for legitimate reasons if clearly disclosed. Google Help
Who can use Compatiguru
Compatiguru is for adults 18+ only. If you are a parent/legal guardian and believe a minor created an account, use the form below and we will promptly assist.
How to cancel a deletion request
If you change your mind before deletion completes, reply to the confirmation email or contact support@compatiguru.com immediately. After completion, recovery isn’t possible.
