Eligibility and Acceptance

The Services are intended only for individuals who are 18 years of age or older. By accessing or using the Services, you represent that you are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

If you use the Services on behalf of an organization or other legal entity, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms. In that circumstance, “you” includes both you and the entity you represent.

The Compatiguru Services

Compatiguru provides experiences relating to compatibility, relationships, personal exploration, affinity, and related insights. Depending on the Service you use, these experiences may incorporate information you provide, compatibility frameworks, personalized analysis, automated systems, artificial intelligence, and other computational methods.

Features, functionality, reports, presentation formats, availability, and the methods used to provide the Services may evolve over time. We may add, modify, suspend, or discontinue features or portions of the Services as permitted by law.

Informational and Entertainment Purposes

Compatiguru provides compatibility, relationship, personality, astrology-related, numerology-related, personalized, and other interpretive information for informational, personal exploration, and entertainment purposes.

Compatiguru does not provide medical, mental-health, legal, financial, professional, or other regulated professional advice. The Services are not a substitute for advice from a qualified professional.

Reports, scores, recommendations, interpretations, affinity indicators, guidance, and other outputs should not be treated as guarantees, predictions of future events, or definitive judgments about any person or relationship. You remain responsible for your own decisions, communications, relationships, and actions.

Your Account

Certain features require a Compatiguru account. You agree to provide accurate information when creating and maintaining your account and to keep information reasonably current where appropriate.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of your account credentials and for activity conducted through your account, except to the extent otherwise required by applicable law.

You may not impersonate another person, misrepresent your identity, create an account for another person without authorization, or use another person’s account without permission.

If you believe your account has been accessed or used without authorization, contact us promptly at support@compatiguru.com.

Information About Other People

Some Compatiguru features allow you to provide information relating to another person, such as information used to generate or explore compatibility between two people.

You are responsible for ensuring that you have an appropriate basis to provide that information to Compatiguru and to use it through the Services. You may not use the Services to obtain, submit, disclose, or process another person’s information unlawfully or in violation of that person’s rights.

The ability to enter information about another person does not imply that the other person has created a Compatiguru account, endorsed your use of the Services, or agreed with any resulting analysis.

User Content and Communications

The Services may allow you to submit, create, upload, transmit, store, display, or share information, text, images, responses, profile materials, messages, or other content (“User Content”).

You retain ownership of rights you may have in your User Content. By providing User Content through the Services, you grant Compatiguru a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, process, adapt, transmit, display, and otherwise use that User Content as reasonably necessary to operate, provide, maintain, secure, improve, and support the Services, subject to our Privacy Policy and applicable law.

You represent that you have the rights and permissions necessary to provide your User Content and to grant the rights described in these Terms.

You are responsible for the User Content you choose to provide or share and for your interactions with other users.

Private and Shared Content

Some features may allow content or information to be shared with another person or made available through private, limited-access, request-based, or similar experiences.

You should share only information and content that you are comfortable making available to the intended recipient. A recipient may be able to retain, copy, capture, or further share information after receiving access, including through screenshots or other means outside Compatiguru’s control.

You may not use private or shared features to harass, threaten, exploit, deceive, impersonate, or unlawfully distribute information about another person.

Purchases, Reports, and Subscriptions

Certain Services may require payment, including compatibility reports, subscriptions, premium features, or other paid offerings.

Purchases made through an application marketplace, such as the Apple App Store or Google Play, may be processed and administered by that marketplace and may also be subject to its payment, subscription, cancellation, and refund terms.

Purchases made through Compatiguru’s website or other direct channels may be processed by third-party payment providers. Compatiguru does not necessarily receive or store your complete payment-card information.

Prices, included features, billing periods, and applicable purchase terms will be presented in connection with the relevant offering. You are responsible for reviewing those terms before completing a purchase.

Except where otherwise stated at the time of purchase or required by applicable law, payments are subject to the terms presented through the applicable purchasing channel.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Services to:

• violate any applicable law, regulation, or legal obligation;
• harass, threaten, stalk, exploit, defraud, abuse, or harm another person;
• impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity or affiliation;
• submit information or content that you do not have the right to provide;
• upload or distribute unlawful, infringing, malicious, deceptive, or harmful content;
• attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts, systems, networks, data, or portions of the Services;
• interfere with, disrupt, damage, overload, or circumvent the operation or security of the Services;
• introduce malware, malicious code, automated attacks, or other harmful technology;
• scrape, harvest, extract, or collect information from the Services through unauthorized automated means;
• reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive non-public source code or protected underlying technology except to the limited extent such restriction is prohibited by applicable law;
• use the Services or their outputs to violate another person’s privacy, publicity, intellectual-property, or other legal rights; or
• assist another person in engaging in prohibited conduct.

We may investigate suspected misuse and take appropriate action, including restricting or terminating access where permitted by these Terms and applicable law.

Safety and Content Standards

Compatiguru is an adults-only service. Certain relationship-oriented features or user interactions may involve mature themes.

Content and conduct that exploit minors, promote illegal activity, threaten or harass others, constitute hate or unlawful discrimination, violate another person’s rights, or otherwise violate our applicable safety standards are prohibited.

Compatiguru Intellectual Property

The Services, including their software, designs, interfaces, branding, graphics, text, report formats, visual presentation, content, features, and other materials provided by Compatiguru, are owned by or licensed to Compatiguru and are protected by intellectual-property and other applicable laws.

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, Compatiguru grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable right to access and use the Services for their intended purposes.

Except as expressly permitted by Compatiguru or applicable law, you may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, sell, license, publicly display, commercially exploit, or create derivative works from protected portions of the Services.

Compatiguru and related names, logos, marks, and branding are trademarks or other protected identifiers of Compatiguru, its affiliates, or its licensors. No rights in those marks are granted except as necessary to use the Services as intended.

Feedback

If you voluntarily provide suggestions, ideas, comments, or other feedback about Compatiguru or the Services, you agree that we may use that feedback without restriction or compensation to you, provided that this provision does not give us ownership of your personal information or User Content merely because it is submitted through the Services.

Third-Party Services

The Services may interact with or contain links to third-party platforms, application marketplaces, authentication providers, payment processors, websites, or other services that Compatiguru does not control.

Your use of third-party services may be governed by separate terms and privacy policies provided by those third parties. Compatiguru is not responsible for the independent practices, content, availability, or operation of third-party services except as required by applicable law.

Service Availability and Changes

We work to provide useful and reliable Services, but we do not guarantee that every feature will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every device, operating system, browser, network, or third-party service.

We may maintain, update, modify, test, restrict, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the Services. Where required by applicable law, we will provide notice or other rights in connection with material changes affecting paid Services.

Suspension and Termination

You may stop using the Services at any time and may request deletion of your account as described in our account and data deletion information.

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access to some or all of the Services if we reasonably determine that you have materially violated these Terms, created a security or legal risk, used the Services unlawfully, or engaged in conduct that threatens the Services or other users.

We may also discontinue the Services or an offering for legitimate business, operational, legal, or security reasons, subject to applicable law and any rights associated with paid Services.

Provisions that by their nature should survive termination—including provisions concerning intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, disputes, and accrued rights or obligations—will survive termination.

Disclaimers

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” COMPATIGURU DISCLAIMS WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

COMPATIGURU DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, COMPLETELY SECURE, OR THAT ANY PARTICULAR REPORT, SCORE, INTERPRETATION, RECOMMENDATION, MATCH, COMPATIBILITY RESULT, AFFINITY INDICATOR, OR OTHER OUTPUT WILL BE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, OR SUITABLE FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so some of the exclusions above may not apply to you.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, COMPATIGURU AND ITS AFFILIATES, LICENSORS, SERVICE PROVIDERS, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICES.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE AGGREGATE LIABILITY OF COMPATIGURU AND THE PARTIES IDENTIFIED ABOVE FOR CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICES OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO COMPATIGURU FOR THE SERVICES GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM DURING THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO LIABILITY OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (US $100).

The limitations in this section apply only to the extent permitted by applicable law. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations or exclusions of liability, and in those jurisdictions the applicable limitations will apply only to the maximum extent permitted by law.

Indemnification

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Compatiguru and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, agents, licensors, and service providers from claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and reasonable costs and expenses arising from or relating to your unlawful use of the Services, your material violation of these Terms, your User Content, or your violation of another person’s rights.

Governing Law and Venue

These Terms and any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services will be governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles, except to the extent applicable law requires otherwise.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to limit any non-waivable rights or protections available to you under applicable consumer-protection law.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to the Services, our practices, legal requirements, or other legitimate reasons.

When we make changes, we will update the effective date and provide any additional notice required by applicable law. If a change materially affects your rights, we may provide additional notice through the Services or by another appropriate method.

Your continued use of the Services after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.

General Terms

These Terms, together with policies and additional terms expressly incorporated into them, constitute the agreement between you and Compatiguru concerning your use of the Services.

If any provision of these Terms is determined to be unlawful, invalid, or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permissible and the remaining provisions will remain in effect.

Compatiguru’s failure to enforce a provision of these Terms does not waive its right to do so later.

You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our consent. Compatiguru may assign or transfer these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets, corporate restructuring, or by operation of law, subject to applicable law.
